Having a blog or website doesn't mean that it is search engine friendly. Means your website can't be found in search results. If you want your blog or website to appear in search results it needs to be indexed by search engines. Indexing is nothing but identifying each and every url of your blog or website and adding them to search engine directory. Whenever user enters a query in a search engine like google if query matches to any of your website's or blog's contents corresponding page will be shown in search results based on your site quality and content quality etc.

To submit your Sitemap to Google Webmaster Tools click here. Login with your google account. Click on add site and add your blog or website. Then click on added website or blog. In the next window left side under optimization click on Sitemaps and then click on ADD/TEST SITEMAP to submit your blog's or website's sitemap. After submitting sitemap you can use different google webmaster tools.
To submit your sitemap to bing or yahoo Webmaster Tools click here. Sign in with your windows live id. Add your website or blog and then submit your sitemap to make use of Bing Webmaster tools.
