Microsoft Outlook.com Email Features

This year Microsoft released a series of products Windows 8, Surface Tablet, Windows Phone 8, Office 15 or Office 2013. This time Microsoft came up with a brand new email service called Outlook. Below are some of the features of Outlook email.

Outlook Email Features

1. Interface - The graphical user interface of outlook email is simple in terms of look and feel. Fast fluid interface I must say.
2. Social Connect - You can see what your friends sharing on facebook and twitter in Outlook email by connecting your facebook and twitter accounts. You can even chat with your facebook friends right from Outlook email.
3. Skype - You can do video chats with your friends in online using Skype video call feature.
4. Skydrive - You can save files to your skydrive and can access files in your skydrive. Thus everything on cloud.
5. Categories - You can categorize your mails into different groups like labels in Gmail. Outlook email has many Categories included like shopping, documents, photos, family, bills etc.

Microsoft Released new version of  office called Office 15 or Office 2013 or Office Consumer Preview with   cool new features. The user interface has a complete new look. It's build from the heart of Windows 8. The user interface gives you windows 8 like experience.

Microsoft Unveils Windows Phone 8

Microsoft released a series of products this year. Probably this is Microsoft's year. Microsoft released it's new os Windows 8 earlier this year with a great user interface. Recently Microsoft came up with a tablet called Surface which runs on Windows 8. Now Microsoft announced it's brand new mobile os Windows Phone 8.

3. IE-10 - Windows Phone 8 has pre-installed internet explorer 10 which has default do not track option for increased privacy. 

4. Maps - Nokia and Bing collaborated to bring the best experience of mobile maps. Like turn by turn navigation, satellite view etc.

5. Wallet Experience - Windows Phone 8 has in built virtual wallet feature which saves your credit, debit card or Membership or Loyalty Cards details. You can pay using NFC technology.

Microsoft has released it's new version of windows 8 called Windows 8 Release Preview on May 31st 2012. Microsoft has released it's new os Windows 8 Developer Preview in Sep-2011 and Consumer Preview  on Feb 29th 2012 with a great user interface and some other new features. Windows 8 supports metro style apps which users can download from windows store. 

Windows 8 has skydrive app, skydrive is cloud storage technology. With skydrive users can store their files online and can access anywhere on the web.  Microsoft offers free 7GB storage for it's users. Built-in windows 8 skydrive metro style app allows users to store their files online and can access any other PCs running on Windows 8 by logging in with their windows live id. Whenever you are accessing your PC with your Windows live id account all your settings will be synced. Next time whenever you login to other PC with your live id all your PC settings will be synced to the new PC.
